Setting Up Utilities in Moses Lake — A New Resident's Guide
New to Moses Lake? Here's exactly who to call for each utility and what to expect.
Electricity — Grant County PUD
Grant County Public Utility District provides electric service. Set up your account online or by phone before move-in. Typical 2BR bill: $80–$150/mo depending on season and HVAC efficiency. New-construction units with modern insulation trend lower.
Natural gas — Cascade Natural Gas
If your unit has gas heating, cooking, or water heating, Cascade Natural Gas is the provider. Set up online. Typical 2BR bill: $40–$80/mo in winter, lower in summer. Confirm with your landlord whether gas is used in your specific unit.
Water and trash
In most newer rentals like Marina Shore Villas, water and trash service are included in rent. Confirm at lease signing. If not included, the city handles trash and the landlord or a third party handles water billing.
Internet — Grant County Fiber
Grant County Fiber is widely available and offers some of the cheapest gigabit service in the country — often $50–$70/mo for 1 Gbps. Cable providers are also available. Set up before move-in if you work from home.
Marina Shore Villas includes water and trash in most lease structures. One less thing to set up.
